    224 mile night ride report.

hmm...now Corbin made the Yamaha FJR comfort seat, I wonder if the same goes with the FZ6. Corbins are notoriously hard. They work in some, but still are much harder than some people would ever expect something comfortable to be. My custom saddle on my FJR made by Bill Mayer Saddles is the most...

This is Great. Better than Leather. LOL

I've never been hurt when I wore the Corona gear. Does it matter than I never wore it? ;)

Here is my Ninja 250 thats leaving.

That does look like a great bike. Miss it much while you're riding the FZ?

Meguiers Tech Wax is the shizzle. We already had a blue bike (my FJR), and Sherri liked the red. Red is much faster, and I ride with 3 coats of wax instead of 6 to reduce weight and improve performance :p

    Winter Poll

Frankly, if you want a motorcyclist's paradise, I'm in it. Year round riding, twisty mountains, coastal, desert, rain forests, redwood groves, major cities, quaint mining towns, vineyards, ski areas, national parks....all within 2 hour's of awesome riding.

    CRG Clutch Lever

I bought the CRG clutch lever for the '07 with the goal of making it a shorter reach for Sherri. Well, the closest position is about the same as stock and the rest of the 5 positions get further away! Well....that didn't do me much good. It looks cool...but... Guess what? The...

    2007 MotoGP Round 3 - Turkey

Nice info! Thanks for sharing. I was just informed I get some special passes for the Moto GP at Laguna Seca this year. :) :) :)

    Wow! I'm the first here?

Yep...Sherri has all the gear and some extra too. Here she is dressed up to ride: I like this photo :)

    Hot seat

I felt the same on my '07. Now, when it's 100 degrees + in Orangevale, this heat will be a big problem. I am looking into adding some reflective shielding between the pipe and the underside of the seat somewhere.

Bottom fairing + frame sliders = impossible?

from all sorts of angles...lotsa pics :)

    All about oil.

That's funny, Calsci is local to me here in the Sacramento area and I was going to call him and see if he would like to use our FZ6 as the prototype tester for a calsci windscreen

    Yamaha FZ6

You are not too heavy for the bike. You can adjust the preload of the shock so that it is better for your weight. Just crank it up. Most factory suspensions are targetted at the 170 lb. range. The engine is more than enough to move you around just fine. My wife have ridden the bike 2up for a...

Bottom fairing + frame sliders = impossible?

Oh! Well if they build sliders to go with it, that should work great, and that they pre-drill makes it all a piece of cake! Let us know how well those lowers keep the wind off you legs and post pics :)

    Fiamm Horn Mod.

Here is a good source for various horns. http://ridesafer.com/store/category/5wlf/Horns.html

    Noob

Honestly, your colors are why I chose this board instead of the black background one that is so harsh on my eyes.

Bottom fairing + frame sliders = impossible?

This is pretty common with the FJR. You might need to get a spacer and a longer bolt from the hardware store (make sure to get top quality stuff) to make it work without having to drill a large hole. The problem with this method is that more stress is put on the bolt on impact and it will likely...

    Fiamm Horn Mod.

I did this on my FJR...Huge difference on the FJR. I find the FZ6's horn is better than the stock FJR's, but still the horn upgrade is nice. Something about being able to blow the chrome of the bumper of a '69 buick as it comes into your lane ;)

    Touring Windscreen for the '07

cool! I look forward to your review (again):)

    Review your helmet.

I have 4 helmets...silly me. One HJC Flip Front. I gave it to a friend that was riding with a brain bucket, but it was okay, but a little noisy and not very stable in high wind. I have an expensive Schuberth Concept helmet. I love the sun visor that flips down behind the clear shield...

    Insurance costs

In my opinion, getting collision is wise. It would stink to slide on road sand and get $3,000 of scratches/parts not covered! Shop around, and nobody should forget he's using those cheaper Canadian dollars :p
