    Need Help Speedometer problem

    If it's a faired bike there is also an earth connection behind the clocks. It's a 6mm bolt with an eyelet holding the earth wire. Worth checking. The connector block on the right side is the usual culprit though.

    I replaced my chain and sprockets last year. I had the same noise. Turns out I used a plain front sprocket. I changed it to a rubber sided "silent Sprocket" noise gone.

    What you're experiencing is the dreaded Yamaha fuel cut. Roll off the throttle above 5k rpm and the fuel is cut to the injectors. Roll on the throttle again and there's nothing for a second then you have power. It's a horrible thing for sure and only a remap of the ECU will cure it. TPS...

    Are the plug lead/caps fitted OK? The seal the fits over the plug cap can get hard and leave water in.

    Low fuel pressure usually shows up as a problem when the engine is at higher revs and under load, I have my doubts its low fuel pressure.
