Hwy 36, Hwy 1, Mt. Hamilton and Yosemite

Are you doing 36 between Fortuna and Red Bluff? Or between Red Bluff and Lassen, which is so so. Hwy 1 between Leggett and Fort Bragg is a great road. Traffic not bad, just maybe when you get into the center of town in Fort Bragg. Make sure you grab a bite to eat at the North Coast Brewing...

Hwy 36, Hwy 1, Mt. Hamilton and Yosemite

I just rode like it never happened. But cleaned up the excessive fluid every time I fueled up. My bike is due for a major service in 400 miles, I'll have to check and see if the fork seals are covered under warranty.

Hwy 36, Hwy 1, Mt. Hamilton and Yosemite

Went on a 1500 mile 3 day trip to N. Cal. Hwy 36 between Red Bluff and Fortuna Ca its one of the top rated, if not #1 motorcycling road in the west. It did not disappoint, it had huge dips in the road where you can get air born if you're not careful, high speed sweepers, and real tight turns...

Starter relay OR Starter Motor? (Intermittent starting issue when warm)

I had similar symptoms and it turned out my brushes in my starter were worn. About $30 to replace the brushes. Next time, if your bike doesn't crank. Try push starting the bike, it should start. I assume you know how to do that.

Have you replaced your clutch plates? How many miles?

If you decide to replace the clutch cable, I would stick with the OEM, I recalled that certain aftermarket cables were not quite the correct length, might have been too long. Can't remember, but you can't go wrong with the OEM.

Have you replaced your clutch plates? How many miles?

Clutch plates, no. 106k miles on the oem. Clutch cable, yes. Replaced at 70k miles, not because I had to, just because I wanted to.

Chasing the motor cops on my Multi

Rode up to Idaho last week to attend the Chills and Thrills event that the local motor units put on. Essentially its a modified police course in which they invite the public to ride, and it's a great chance for the local motors to polish their skills. As you can see, I like to push the limits...

2017 Spring Street Vibrations Motorcycle Rally

You know what time it is? It's time to beat up on the local motor units again in front of a live audience. The unfortunate victim this time, the sergeant for the motor unit. Weak effort in my opinion but at least he didn't drop his bike like the other cop last year. I'm 5-0 against the Reno...

Moving to the dark side... well, almost

How many miles on your Fizzer? Congrats by the way, and to you as well Martin. Keep the Fizzer! I still have mine.

How many miles are on your FZ6?

Martin, you have a great shot of overtaking me. I've only ridden 6k miles since I rolled over 100k a few years ago. My new bike has definitely affected the amount of miles I put on my FZ

The Love that keeps showing up

I still have my FZ, but I only ride it about 1-2 times a week now since I bought the Duc.

How many of us FZ6 owners bought their bikes from the showroom?

I'm still here, and I still have the Fizzer with over 100k miles. Bought the bike brand new back in April of 2007 when I lived in Vegas, a leftover model. I brought it with me when I moved to Idaho and took it with me again when I moved to Reno. Although it's no longer my primary bike, I...

Never Ever Have I Been Told Not To

I eat there about 4 times a week, I've literally eaten there almost 200 times since I moved here a almost 2 years ago. I lived right across the marina so within walking distance. They also have the best steak house in the city, nobody can come close to service, price and quality. And they have...

Never Ever Have I Been Told Not To

Park in a parking stall! That's right, casino security approached me instructing me that I had to park my motorcycle in motorcycle parking. I'm all for it, but considering the casino lot was nearly empty on a Sunday morning, and motorcycle parking was located at the very end of the parking...

    Flying Mattress

No, it's horrible riding. This is a great video on why you should stay away from these type of vehicles. Just like their driving, you can't trust anyone to secure their loads. Learn how to identify these hazards and stay away. Make your past fast, don't linger around these hazard, especially...

I would wait and see where you end up. Hopefully out west, it's much different vs the east coast.
