There was one thread in which the Iridium plugs caused poor MPG. That was the only negative thing I've heard about them until this post. I know I got over 20k miles on my OEM stock plugs, and same thing, only changed them not because they failed, but because I wanted too. I think the manual...
I got over 50k miles om my Iridium, only reason why they were replaced was because it was convenient to do so at the time my valve checks were being performed.
Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't, I'm pretty aggressive. I'm tippy toes at best, usually favoring to one side of the bike when stopped. But once you're moving, it gets easier. There is no way I can keep the bike from falling by putting a foot down, bike is too heavy. There have been plenty...
I'm always looking to improve as a rider, and as long as you practice, you will get better. I've taken the challenge to perfect Motogymkhana, I have a long ways to go. There is an active club in Southern and Northern Ca, if anyone is interested, please check out the link. I made the trek out...

110,000 miles, is that all? Seriously, you had a huge lead as far as most miles on a FZ6 on this forum, but now I'm just 5k miles behind you. I would have surpassed 110k if it weren't for me buying a new Ducati which is now my primary bike. I ride my FZ maybe once a week.
FYI my brushes on my...
Could be the battery, could be the rectifier, engine cut off switch, which I have all replaced at one point or another due to failure. Depending on how many miles you have on the bike, it could be your brushes inside your starter. I was having intermittent starting problems and everyone was...
dbldutch02, overtaking the lorry would have made it an aggressive move considering the lane was merging and that there was a railroad crossing. Another potential hazard. Passing the truck could have recreated the exact same scenario, making the rider no different than the lady driver.
One of my biggest pet peeves, driver or riders not turning into their nearest lane. Therefore I try to force them to stay in their lane every time with my horn covered. It's a dangerous game but I like to force the issue and will use my horn if they begin going wide. Sometimes I pick the outside...
Only watched the 2nd video because that's the one you said that got you upset the most. I agree 110% with Payneib, you need to do a better job of selecting your lane position. You were riding too close to the left shoulder, leaving tons of space for the driver to pass. Can't say it hasn't ever...
Yeah, they change up the courses every year so certain drills will be missing. And the course can't be too tight since it's about getting the general public to give it a try. Even the most seasoned riders have difficulty because they have not practiced the skills required in order to be...
