How the hell do you exactly check the front brake pad?

If you can't tell by looking at it, It's only 2 bolts to remove the caliper to check the pads that way...

First Track Day. Now many more to come

Welcome to the track addiction! I love NYST, haven't been able to get back since the first year they opened though. I'm hoping later this summer. Motorcycle Track Days in New England is the organization I usually ride with. If you like NYST, you'll also love the Palmer MA track. If you're...

    R6 forks, axle, spacers/adapters for 07-09

You would need the brake calipers from either the 07-09 FZ6, the 03-04 R6, or the 06-09 R6S (all the same) - the calipers on your bike will not mount to these forks. You'll also need different adapters to mount your stock front fender. Or I believe you could use the R6 front fender.

Is there any way to make the FZ6 throttle less twitchy/snatchy in 1st/2nd?

A couple years I had a ratty-looking 1999 CBR600 as a track bike. The carburetors on that bike were soooo smooth, but always took it for granted until every Monday morning after a track weekend when I rode my FZ6 to work. Huge difference in rolling on the throttle on both, the CBR was so much...

    Slow can be incredibly fun

I was expecting/ hoping you were posting about a Grom, haha. had a guy offer me a 300 mile 2017 Grom in trade for my FZ6 - I actually told him I'd take the trade, but he ended up selling it instead. Nice bike. I demo'd one a couple years ago, i remember that it definitely didn't feel as fast...

    R6 forks, axle, spacers/adapters for 07-09

SOLD! Everything you need to upgrade the forks for a Gen 2. Forks from a 03/04 R6 (it took me buying a few sets on eBay to actually get a good straight set) I replaced the seals and the oil last spring, about 1500 miles on them since. I had the axle spacers (stainless steel) and the fender...

WTB R6 fork spacer kit for S2

I have a pair, but I'll probably be listing them for sale along with the forks, axle, axle spacers, etc. PM me your email address and I'll send you the prints I made for them. I don't know what it could cost to have them made, it cost me a few six packs of beer for the machinist at my old job.

Migrating from S1 to S2, Anything I can't swap over? Anything I should?

R6 forks will swap over, but you will need different adapters for the front fender (or you could probably just use the fender from the S1) If you did the R6 fork swap on a S1, then you would have also swapped the R6 calipers as well, whIch yes, are the same as the stockers on the S2. Shock...

I have a seat that should suit you nicely. http://www.600riders.com/forum/vendor-reviews/56952-terry-adcox-seat-terrys-custom-seats-stock-corbin-shad-comparison-pictures.html If I sell the bike and the buyer does not want it separately, I will keep you in mind. If not, I definitely would...

    Budget Riding Camera

I have a Mobius Action Cam, it was about $70, plus the cost of a SD card. Mounted the base to the right side of my helmet, opposite my Sena. I chose it since it's low profile, i got the lens that allows me to mount it vertically. I bought it at the beginning of last year to use for dashcam...

Welcome back! I'll sell you a FZ6 on the cheap! The organization that I usually ride track days with, Motorcycle Track Days in New England, usually does a couple non-sportbike track days a year at Palmer Mass and Thompson CT tracks, if you felt like dragging some knee on your FJR...

Tire Suggestions, Any experience with Pirelli?

Ive got a few thousand miles plus a couple track days on mine and they still look great. A bunch of my friends have had great experiences with them as well. Can't really go wrong with any sport-touring tires from any of the main brands.

what USB socket have you all got, and where do you site yours?

I have a 12v cigarette lighter outlet and a USB outlet on the right inner fairing panel. Hooked up via a relay, along with heated grips and a voltmeter on the same circuit. (The inner fairing is for sale, $3000, comes with the rest of the bike!)
