Start with the dual headlight mod, plenty of info on here about it. It gives you two low beams (and eliminates the “you have a headlight out” comments. The Pod light mod is also easy. I added a Givi top case with brake lights, and added an additional brake light on the bottom of my license plate.

I noticed a huge difference when I first switched from a black helmet to a solid Hi-Viz tennis ball yellow helmet probably 8 years ago. All of a sudden the cars pulling out from side streets were waiting until I passed. Since then all my streethelmets have been either solid hi-viz or solid white.
