Opening up the instrument cluster is pretty easy, my guess is that it may be as simple as that, the wiring on FZ6's is pretty robust in my experience, unless it has been tampered with by some well meaning, but ham fisted, spanner twiddler. I would start there, and work my way back, a voltage...

Re: May 2016 BOTM - uploads enabled Oh i can get it pretty much near it's limits, especially in the tight stuff. :) Out on the open road, yes, i like my license where it is. It's got bucket loads of torque, is pretty light, and handles just nicely, but in reality, i ride it pretty casually...

That motor is a peach apparently, Yamaha has proven cred in making decent parrarel twins, noteably, the XTZ, TDM, and TRX, this motor is an evolution of that design, so should be a belter!

Well i reckon i will try and track down a few others....

Was just feeling a bit nostalgic....i am pretty busy these days, so dont really get out on the bikes as much, about 4 times a week at this point, but mainly in commute mode.

Still got the 850, now an 868, and the FZ6, still in perfect condition, and I ride a FZR1000 everyday, but it aint quite a normal FZR1000, is now naked, and an ongoing project. I also have a few dirt bikes I have been working on for the kids, and last year, I restored an FJ1100 for some...

Legal or not, I will be filtering, and getting away from cars as fast as possible....it's just common sense to eliminate danger as much as you can, and cars within striking distance of my bike at speed is danger!

Well, my missus is about 18 weeks away from having our 2nd, and my 4th child....I work as a manager at a hardware store now, still DJ a couple nights a week, and still ride an FZ6! :)
