    300km before F-Trip came on.

I think if I remember right the most ive seen go in is 18.5L, When I fill up I tend to try and sit on the bike keeping it level, then the last bit I just keep giving it little squirts of gas and rocking back and forth to work it in. I can always get another 0.5-1L more in once it appears full...

    300km before F-Trip came on.

300 km is like what I expect when I'm riding reasonably chilled out, I usually hit it no problem riding a mix of in town and highway type riding, say an average speed of 90 km/h. shifting around 8000 rpm on average. The time I hit 340 I'd been on strictly highway on a 20 degree Celsius dry...

    300km before F-Trip came on.

That's pretty good for cold weather windy riding. Ive got you beat though, hit 340 km before mine came on one time this past summer. Worst I've seen was at about 230 km, cold and wet then an hour of hooligan like riding the next day

AURMEND'S LED front turn signal mod

I was hoping to run a small LED in the stock signal holder as turn signal only and strip lighting up front as running lights and turn signals. If I understand right?... If I connect the one I want to flash only up before the MOSFET like I would a normal LED lamp with no running lights it...

AURMEND'S LED front turn signal mod

I'm trying to do the same thing and I'm learning a bit about electronics as I go, do you have a schematic diagram of the circuit you built so the turn signal only and turn signal/running lights flashed simultaneously? I understand how the MOSFET works and I get why they wouldn't flash at the...

Poor Bike Downed by the snow mover

Do you have frame sliders? they will help prevent a lot of damage to things like the tank, side pods etc. but if the impact to knock it over was hard enough there is a possibility they caused the frame to crack. They seem to save a lot of bikes in a standstill tip over and if this was a...

    Headlight LED Replacement options

You could always do a projector HID install, there are tons of threads on here about it if you search for them and they seem to be the best for max light output, they can also make the front of the bike look nicer depending on what you do with the stock reflector and such as it wouldn't be...

    Where to buy airplane tickets?

From what Ive experienced its cheapest approximately 6 weeks out from your trip, you can use a website like kayak to set up price alerts from all the airlines notifying you when they drop or raise in price, they also have a recommendation based on historical data whether its a smart buy or if...

    Ontario Insurance

Holy crap, I'm 23 only have my M2 (have had it for 3 years mind you) and my premium is half that with TD, you must have some convictions on there or something, being in Toronto can't influence it that much

    Turn signal suggestions?

You listed price as your fourth most important thing, if you want something exceptionally well made that are very bright and in my mind quite attractive check out Rizoma Turn Signals Avio 21 Black 2 x FR021B New | eBay I believe there is this exact set for sale on here unless they were...

    Anyone had an ACL surgery?

I havent personally but my little brother did, they take a piece of ligament out of your ankle and splice it into your knee to repair your ACL, he was on crutches for a little while and then wasn't allowed to do any biking (bmx) or skiing for about a year. He is sort of in the process of getting...

    Clearwater Erica Lights Review

Admittedly I'm a sucker for lights, Im always ordering new LED strips, cree LED flashlights and the like, but with the $850 USD basic package price of this set I think this will be one I'll be leaving alone for a while haha

    Scam

Another thing to keep in mind is if you buy something from someone online (not ebay or another trusted site) using paypal and are trusting them to ship it to you don't use the "gifting money to a family member or friend" option on paypal, they might ask you to since it means there is no charge...

    Detailing Your FZ6

I think I used the sand paper with the polish, cant remember exactly, It will work just as well either way. I'm ashamed to say my exhaust doesn't look nearly that nice right now, The early and late riding season in Ontario does not lend itself to keeping a clean bike

    Detailing Your FZ6

LOL The powerball is the exact thing I tried, it actually seemed to take longer, I think cause I couldn't put as much pressure on it as I could with wrapping a cloth around, I could actually feel the cloth and header heating up a bit from the friction I was causing when I was sawing on them...

    Detailing Your FZ6

They aren't too bad to remove, but it would be a good idea to replace the header gaskets if you take them off instead of reusing the old ones so there's that to take into account. Here's what I managed to accomplish with them on the bike: Before: After:

    Detailing Your FZ6

Using scouring pads isn't recommended, I use "Mothers mag and aluminum polish" it works great, there's lots of threads on here about shining your headers. the quick version of it is; use a damp cloth to get all the dirt off, apply mothers to a clean cloth (anything will do, preferably something...

    crash

The lean angle switch should be located under the right side (right as in - facing forward sitting on the bike) rear pod, just undo the allen bolt under the seat and pop it off

    First Bike - Yamaha FZ6

Up here that's a pretty decent price, most are 2007 and up and are going for $4500-$5500 depending on mileage, I offered $5000 on a bike (which was turned down) in Toronto that had a low speed drop that another forum member ended up with, really low km on it but really poor maintenance as well...
