    Guess where this Goes!!!

You are correct! The little nipple is used to push out the pins for a tool free take down. It's my Benelli Super Nova tactical.

My bike is making a strange popping sound

Well a little update. I jacked up the bike I did the steering head bearing test. I have full smooth full travel with no play and no sound. I spun the front tire as fast as I could and jammed on the brakes still nothing. I checked every bolt and none were loose. Since the sound was coming from...

The serrations do not mate with anything. The nipple does serve a purpose.

My bike is making a strange popping sound

Yamaha fz6 making a strange noise - YouTube Well I have been hearing this noise off and on for about a month now. Tonight after a ride is the first time I have been able to have it make the noise consistently. Whenever I hear the pop I can feel it in the left side frame. The sound seems to...

    Guess where this Goes!!!

Yea. I'm not a big fan of putting car engines on aircraft. Just last month I saw a guy in a gyro copter throw a rod on take off. He had a rebuilt Subaru engine on it. Anyways. Next item is...

    Guess where this Goes!!!

I'm glad I found it on the ground too. :)All the gauges checked fine on the run up. The plane just didn't feel right. So, I told the pax we were not going, taxied to MX, took the cowling off and found the bad piston. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Guess where this Goes!!!

I use the TIT gauge to manage the AFR. I run at least 100 rich of peak. So, it's pretty clean considering. It's a bushing. As for the condition of the pin I'm not sure. It was that way when I went by the shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Guess where this Goes!!!

Yep. Continental TSIO-520-WB installed on my 1976 Beech 58P. That piston has about 1100 hours of use. We ended up replacing all the jugs after we found this. Turns out ECI had a bad batch of jugs. All of ours fell in the serial number range. The inside looks nice and clean for those hours...

    Trip advice

    1. Rain gear. The worst time I have had on a motorcycle was being wet and could not stay dry. 2. Chargers and cables for all of your devices. It's not fun spending time on your moto vacation shopping for such things. 3. Source of navigation. I travel with paper maps, iPhone, and GPS. My...
