    Close call finger casualty..

Get caught between swingarm and a sprocket bolt? If so I did it. I may have been turning my wheel slower than you cause I avoided and "serious" injury and just got a good pinch to remember! On the plus side, looks like the glove held up so it should be a clean wound.

    Inline headlight switch

I'm not an electrition or anything so maybe my idea is flawed from the start....how about a button like the one in a fridge, goes off when you close the door. That way it takes an action to turn the lights off but you wouldn't have to "remember" to turn em back on. Close the door = press the...

What is the allure of riding in groups?

And if you want you can do it by yourself. :BLAA: I do a lot of commuting so I get plenty of solo ride time. When I'm out "joyriding" I prefer company. This could be riding 2up with my wife or in a group. My usual group size is 3-or-4. But a big group like a bike night event or the NJ/PA...

A question for the guys who commute

I keep my toggs and a ziplock baggie (for phone/ipod) in a jansport back pack that has seen 4yrs of high school duty . There's room in the back pack if I start shedding layers. I use a bungee net to secure it to the passenger seat instead of wearing it. In a locker at work I have my...

    Flag connectors for headlight - .32 ??

FWIW I bought a H4 plug from a local parts store (Advance or Autozone) and opened it up and took one of the terminals out and swapped it into the FZ's plug. It may have been a little more expensive than just buying 1 connector, but not still under $5.

    What was your 1st job?

Carnie for a local fair. I set up a "tilt-a-whirl" then ran the MC kiddie ride for 2weeks paid in cash and funnel cakes! Also got to wax the big slide every morning. Sat on a burlap sack and inched down it spraying pledge in front of me over and over until it was slick as snot on glass.

August 16-18, 2013 - Skyline Dr, Blue Ridge Pkwy, and West VA

I just looked at your day1 (I will not be there for it) just as you cross into WV on 340 you'll see "Chestnut Hill Rd" (verrrry curvy) that rd is the only one in the area ill ride to just to ride it! I prefer "loop" rides over "there and back" rides but I make acception for CHrd! It's a little...

Wool hoooo! I'll meet ya in Front Royal! Not sure how far I'll ride, I might head home at the first rest stop or follow all the way to I64 and jump off there and head deeper into WV (wrong turn country) or I just may go the whole sat/sun route??? No two ways about it, I'll see ya in Front Royal...

    Custom exhaust $200 shipped

Take your midpipe to the parts store with you and find their exhaust pipe aisle. Test fit what they have on the shelf till you find the tightest fit. When building them I'd split the pipe in 4 places about 3/4 deep and put a "T-bolt band clamp" over the splits and crank it down.

    Nate's first ride!

He's doin great for a first ride! Keep practicing with him and his first car might only have 2wheels! With all today's tech and toys it's good to see a kid doing anything outside, add an internal combustion engine and 2 wheels and you've got a recipe for fun! Congrats to you both!!

    Tire changing.....

I change my own using zipties (big ones). After breaking the bead down, ziptie the tire in a few places (5-6) tight enough to make the bead areas touch. Spray some windex (acts as a quick drying "lube") on the surface of the tire where it will rub the wheel as it comes off. Now the two beads...
