I had stopped by for supper as i am all alone out here in BC, pulled into their garage. The nephew a very helpful little boy helped me wipe some crude off of my bike. I go upstairs and he proceeded to do the seat, my windshield and a variety of other parts. Caught him before he did my tires...

    Hanging It Out There

I broke the cardinal rule from my MSC, and forgot that no one sees me today. Making a run into Vancouver on my way to the ferry i changed lanes with out properly shoulder checking. Quick look and away i go, but a mini van was joining the same lane, little goose on the gas and i scoot in front of...

    light fz6 07

After I got my bike I must have had at least a dozen people tell me I had a light burnt out. I was flagged down by a very nice but senile old couple on the road who told me I had a light burnt out. Found this forum, and the details on how to have two lights all the time. The first few people...

Thanks for the info and the laugh, whale oil eh not sure if we can get that here ;-) I ended up getting regular oil but the next oil change I go with the Shell synthetic. Now if it would only quit raining i could get back out and ride.

    Oil change

i went in to get some oil and a filter from the dealer today, i asked about synthetic and i was told that Yamaha recommends regular oil. I am surprised that synthetic isn't recommended ? Any truth to this and if not what is a quality synthetic that you guys have used ? Thanks in advance.

Ahhhh! Nothing like a clean chain! (Pics)

For cleaning your rear wheel there is a product called Blue Magic, great cleaner that i have used on several different types of wheels. Breaks down everything that i have ever needed to clean off of a wheel, including brake grime. Though i am not sure if it is available in the UK ?

What do you recommend for a tank bag

I have the Joe rocket manta, just the small one which i really like. I can fit pretty much everything i need for a quick trip out. I haven't had any issues with it, doesn't move once it is in place.

    Rear signal Lights

I am not sure now if the stock lights will work, the previous owner had installed a fender eliminator so i don't have the factory mounts. i think i will fab up some mounts for LED lights and do it that way. Thanks for the help, i think that i may have to go this way, going to try and smack...

    Rear signal Lights

I am wondering if anyone knows a decent supplier of rear signal lights, when i bought my bike it had the single brake light and signal lights. I got a great $180 ticket today as i dont have proper signal lights on the rear, they need to be 9 inches apart. I checked with the dealer and they...

    Potential Riders MUST READ!!!!!

As some one who did just pick up a FZ6 as my first bike I agree with what has been said, but at the same time we just put a guy back together who wiped out on a ninja 250. This was a guy who bought a small bike and in an effort to be cool, went well beyond his skills, no matter what you have...
