This is the wire that needs to be added. For whatever reason they leave it off. This wire goes hot (on) when the high beams are OFF. Yamaha built it all in to the wiring, then left it disconnected....

Agree with the above. Clean and paint. That's verry little work compared to other maintenance you will eventually be doing on the bike.

Actually, there is no oil pressure sensor on the FZ6, so the engine light could not be low oil pressure. There is an oil level sensor mounted to the bottom of the oil pan, but that is a separate warning light. Are you certain that is it is the engine light (second from the top) and not the oil...

That's an easy fix :-) Get them aimed better and reassess.....

Very true. I did the dual headlight conversion (the right way, by adding the 'missing" wire) then installed a pair of Morimoto LED's. They are pricy, but have worked great. That being said, I have never seen a set of headlights that were as effective as Denali's. But if you are looking for...
