How could you have missed the Varsity The Varsity :: What'll ya have!

    Torn Achilles Tendon

Take the advice of MitsuFootDr, wear that boot as long as it takes. I ruptured both tendons 10 years apart (86 left, & 96 right). Still have a limp, I'll be 55 in 5 days and can predict bad weather 3 days early, though moving to AZ has been blissful, no rain for months.

    Finally...

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I see by your pic you got it at WOW in Marietta, one of my old trolling spots too, they're good folks. Enjoy your ride, but you may want to wait until it warms up a little there, usually around first week of March.

    Another one down.

OUCH! Having once lived near Lawrenceville I know the risks. Heal slowly so you may ride fast in the future.

Pants vs. overpants for first-time FZ6 winter rider

As a recently former ATL resident, welcome to the best bike forum (IMO :cheer:) on the web. I know the "...fickle Georgia winter weather (sometimes 60F, sometimes 20F, in-between rainy) all too well. Grew up and lived there (with exception of 10yrs Navy) until March of this year. Though I...

Why do you work on your bike by yourself ?

My sentiment exactly (JK ;) ). I voted no friends or money. Having recently moved to AZ, didn't really trust any stealership, and with the love of tinkering, have owned a 92 S10 Blazer, 4.3L V6, for 18 years, with 265K+ miles. As read here, upon purchase in 96, I went through everything...

    F/S : HVMP Bar Ends

Package arrived today. A little WD40 and a Scotchbrite took care of the rust spots, some 800 grit and WD smoothed out the scuffed bar-end enough to not be as noticeable. Thanks  Novaks

    AZ FZ Riders

As I am unfamiliar with the area, I would like to get out for a ride and will possibly bring another rider along. Will check GPS/Google/Maps for directions. I'm down with the riding style as I an 54 going on 80 and am not into the hooligan riding style :spank: in the news lately.

Would a louder horn be considered Safety Equipment?

:cheer: UPDATE: Rewired horn NEG(-) to battery NEG(-), all fine, works great. Had to put it to use this morning on the way to work. Woman (:don'tknow: why is it always a woman with me) turning left, looking right coming out of a gas station. Gave her two quick blasts then a long blast...

    wiring diagram for brake light

Basic MODULE connections, see site for additional instructions, verify with instructions available from Hyperlite site. All connections accessible inside left side pod. I think Pos-I-Lok connectors work best. Hyperlites Flashing led motorcycle brake lights, runing lights, and turn signals...

Would a louder horn be considered Safety Equipment?

#6 was quite helpful. Horn (-)NEG connected to frame. I will reroute horn (-)NEG to battery (-)NEG for better grounding. Thx

Would a louder horn be considered Safety Equipment?

Do you have a number for that fused relay? Secondary protection would be more insurance against overload. Good maintenance advice with the daily blast. As I was a Navy electrician for 10+ years, and currently work in the industry, I tested the relay. All worked fine on the...

Would a louder horn be considered Safety Equipment?

Installed horn and relay. Relay operated by existing switch wiring (see attached). Tested prior to closing everything up, worked fine. Bolted all up, tested, fine. Tried horn on way to work, nothing. Tested on way home, worked once. Tried when pulling into driveway...

Would a louder horn be considered Safety Equipment?

Did something similar when I lived in ATL. Woman pulls up next to me, on the phone, very close to my foot. I rolled on the throttle a couple of times to get her attention and she gives me a sneering look, since her window was down, I lay on the (OEM) horn until she rolls up her window. As...

Would a louder horn be considered Safety Equipment?

Great advice, thank you. Louder exhaust planned for a future mod (possibly a Phrank2K11 type). Hyperlite was second mod, added a 16 module just under tail light, always had them on every bike owned. As I have an older S-10 Blazer, plan to add dual 16 modules as additional aux brake...
