I did but only because I was working on the headstock bearing so the whole front had to come off.
Calipers are an easy job. 2 bolts each side if I remember correctly.

Is the torx size T45?
I am putting in new steering bearings (All Balls) but having problems with putting the races in. It just won't go in all the way. Is it a good idea to undo these security bolts a little bit to allow the upper race into place then tighten again?
Thanks for the replies guys. I still did not get the wheel off today. The bolt I was using just snapped. I guess I'll try to get a spindle key tomorrow... I got everything else off for headstock bearing replacement... wheel and forks off tomorrow... this was a long day. :-)
Guys I'm stuck. Just can't get the front wheel axle off. Got the calipers off, undid the pinch bolt, and trying to undo the axle with the bolt and nuts method :-).
It just won't give. Is this reverse thread or something???
Why did you have them checked? I was going to have mine checked for the 60000mls service but engine runs fine and I'd rather not pay the money for nothing.
