Thank you
Nick, from all reports, the FZ6 performs great two-up touring, so I don't think 280lb would be a problem.
Some impressions: I find the FZ very easy to handle and maneuver, it feels light for the size of it. As a "sporty-tourer" as I call it, I think it tends a lttle...
Hi, Nick,
Welcome from Eastern MA!
The FZ6 is a really great bike. Sounds like you may be all set with your trade-in deal. But if you'd consider an outright purchase, here's a sales pitch -- please consider my '07 for sale on this forum -- take a look -- 11K miles...

Welcome, Tim -- I picked up a similar bike 6 weeks ago, 07 in red with 11K miles. I've been removing the "mods" and returning the bike to stock since I'll use this as my touring bike, keeping the Ducati as the sportier one.

One hazard of Fall riding 'round here has to do with back-to-school, the towns re-paint all the crosswalks, sometimes with a solid, 4-foot wide band of paint all the way across the road, talk about slippery. My town has a hard-working bicycle committee that works on road safety issues, for one...
My new-to-me 07 FZ6 came with a Throttle Tamer throttle tube installed, read all about it here:
G2 Ergonomics - Throttle Tubes and Moto Parts
That should take care of any abrupt throttle issues. I have one on my Ducati, too, great product.
Sure sounds like the prices are different in Canada...
Love the colors on your FZ, nice. I've had the red '69 Triumph Tiger since 1974, and the black Triumph is a Bitsa, 68-70-71. The red Honda is the third CB77 I've owned, I bought the first one new in 1964 :Flash:

News Flash:
Got the stock tail/fender for 07 FZ6 coming, still looking for a pair of stock turn signals for the rear.
Who's got two they're willing to part with?
Thanks,
Kurt
