    I do the same using one, I fold it over first this makes it act like a spring.

    When I buy new parts like lights the first thing I do before fitting them is to touch the wires onto a battery and test they work before starting to fit them, just in case the parts are faulty saves a lot of pain later.

    Sorry if my previous reply seemed negative I think part of my problem is my bike is the naked one and the wider look more suits the fared model. Here is a photoshop job of your bike with the cowl painted blue hope it helps with your choice of colour.

    I have just fitted one of these to my bike and was disappointed, it looked to wide and bulbus especially when looking at the right hand side and the joint looked crap. :( In the end I took an inch and a bit from the left hand side of the joint (the side that overlaps) pop riveted the two...

    They do them in various lengths/colours, I had toyed with the idea of a 12cm red strip along the back of the rack this way it would be visable all the time with or without the box on.

    Yes but where do you get one of these? :confused: I had to make one so as to fit a Givi monolock top box. As a point of interest the monolock case fits straight onto the Yamaha rack, well it would if it came with the little stopper thing which sticks up

    Mine runs down in a month or so in the winter, I think it could do with a new battery but I bought a charger with a fly lead and just leave it plugged in.
