I don't think I could get rid of my FZ6. Like other said, it's the jack of all trades quality that keeps it special to me. Take it out for some fun on the twisties, commute on it, go on a long trip without feeling uncomfortable, or just cruise around town.
Funny enough, I wasn't planning on...
Welcome!
Sorry to hear about what happened. On the bright side, you made it out ok which is most important. I spent a lot of parking lot time, like others, getting myself used to squeezing the brake and not grabbing a fist full. Of course, when you are a new rider and you get surprised by an...
Mine is similar to others. Fan kicks on around 207-212 and then cools it back down. I had a 94 vette that was about the same(might have even went to 215-220 can't remember). Probably just depends on the maker and what they feel their equipment can handle.
It's just like anything else. If you are in a sports car, people want you to do a burnout. They don't realize those tires cost a lot and it's not worth your time to waste the rubber. Same with a sport bike. Most have no idea that wear and tear risk is greater than the coolness points earned.
I hope if you plan to get rid of the FZ in a year you are planning to pick up a different 600, like a CBR or something along those lines and not a liter bike. You will not be ready to handle one with a years experience. Unless you just enjoy drag racing the red lights, you will get put in your...
been down that road, hurt like hell!! and to add insult to injury the little guy didnt fall off....took all my might to keep control when I saw it climbing up the inside of my shield.
On a curvy road, never, it's just too risky for me to want to try it. However, if it's a beautiful day outside and a car is driving 10 under the limit, I will not hesitate to pass them on a straight.
Definitely want something under the stand during these hot months. Thankfully, the hospital I work at is very motorcycle friendly and they install a metal plate in your parking spot if you ride a bike to prevent that. Other times I've got a tuna can lid that i've been using in a pinch where I...
I haven't seen those in a while, I thought that trend finally died down. I know a few places started making people who had them pay a fine if they were caught.
