Sorry guys, once I posted this I saw the related threads and got some good advice. M ine clunks in every gear especially first. Riding cruisers for so long might be the problem.I am surprised tha after 500 miles I havent adapted. Now that its got 1,500 miles on it I will start winding it up more...

I have only seen this addressed once on this cite and really didnt see an answer. I have put about 5 hundred miles on my 2008 fz6, and I havent adjusted to the clunk when changing gears. Any suggestions?

I cant wait to start stretching her out, it would be cool if you could take it to redline in each gear.

I have had my fz6 for a week and havent got past 6000 rpm in any of the first three gears, apparently I havent seen anything this bike can do. I guess my question is( how many rpms can I run it in each gear, it has a little over 1000 miles on it).

I picked up my2008 fz6 today, rode it 27 miles to the house and had no wrist problems. Its cold here but I think I will still ride it to work which is 27 miles.

I was just wandering if you had to replace any of your wiring .

Thanks, I thought maybe I could find risers,but no luck. I have been riding cruisers for about 4 years, and never been on a sports bike. This fz6 is the first one I tried and like it a lot, there doesnt seem to be anything else like it that I can find.

Iam 59 years old and I am wanting to buy an fz6, I did several test rides and my wrists are already hurting, anybody have a solution?
