hey everyone thanks for all of the replies. time for a little update. i went to my local dealer again today and had them pull out four bikes for me to sit on...yamaha fz6, suzuki gladius, and the kawasaki er6-n and 650r. sorry to say that i am now pretty darn sure the fz6 will not be first bike...

hi and :welcome: i am pretty new here myself and don't have a bike like you but am considering the fz6 as well. not sure if i'll be much help but i'll try. as far as the seating position between the sv650s and the fz6...i believe there are after market handle bars that you could purchase to...

sorry didn't mean to leave everyone else out. thank you to all of you as well for your input. it's just made me want the fz6 that much more knowing i have an excellent forum with good people to help me with any ?s i might have.

price isn't that big of an issue. i'm looking to buy new and both bikes are priced very close to each other at my local bike store
