Pilot Power 2ct in the Canyons

Yes. Coming down on 18 from Arrowhead there is a 180 right hand turn and the front wants to slide through it everytime. Speed is only about 50 and the turns is posted 45.

Pilot Power 2ct in the Canyons

Hey Gang: I love to run the mtns of Southern California. Recently I bought a new pair of Pilot Power 2 ct for my Fz6. I am wondering what kind of air pressure everyone else is running their pp2ct's at. The shop where the tires were mounted stated 39 psi front and back is perfect even for the...

Engine braking (slowing the bike down) is excessive

Good Day Everyone: A few of my friends got together for a long distance ride to Yosemite. I complained about how hard my bike would slow down when you roll off the throttle. Well a couple of my friends thought I was exaggerating so they tried my bike and they were shocked at how the slightest...

my fz6 seems restricted on power after it warms up

Aloha- Have you tried the basics like check tire pressure and brake movement. Some tires are hard and roll easy until they are warmed up. Once they are warm they become more flexible and offer a lot of drag if not properly inflated. Same holds true for your brake calipers. If they start...

Having trouble pushing my bike out of the garage.

Good Day Everyone: Ok I bought my bike used a year ago and I have had all sorts of handling issues. I bought the bike from a bike shop, but found the bike was not preped for sale at all. Thanks to your help the bike is on the road and we are getting along fine. Here is what I needed to do...

Having trouble pushing my bike out of the garage.

Aloha: I was getting ready to ride today and I pushed out my friends Honda 919 and then my FZ6(2006). His bike rolled out so much easier I was really surprised. Both bikes have similiar mileage, correct tire pressure and correct chain adjustment. Why would the 919 push easier than my FZ6. I...

Pilot Road vs Pilot Power 2ct?

I love the Power tire. I ride mostly canyons and mountains very little freeway. The Metzler Roadtec Z6's were a nightmare for the mountains, lots of washouts for no reason. I have heard that the PP2CT don't last but I would rather replace them every season than low side my bike.

Pilot Road vs Pilot Power 2ct?

My bike came to life with the Power Pilot 2 ct's. I would rather have a tire that grips the road like glue and replace it every season than have a tire that last longer but does not grip as well. Pilots Rock!!! I ride canyons and mountains, seldom on the freeways and never when it rains or snows.

    Quick Tire Poll

I am using Power Pilot 2ct's. These are awesome tires. I have only 50 miles on the tires but they are so much better than the old tires I ran. Ran Metzlers Road Tec last year. They were fine for the freeway and sucked in the mountains. Since most of my riding is the mountains I needed a...

    Squirlley through turns

Thank you for the responses. This is great!! I tooked the bike out for an 80 mile run through the Southern California mountains. The bike handled better but still went away on the return trip. I kept the tires warm but on the return trip the bike still tried to wash out. I dropped the...

    Squirlley through turns

Thank you all for responding. There is a lot of useful information in this thread. Today is Veteran's Day and I dropped the bike off at the shop to have Power Pilot 2ct's installed along with a couple of other things. It will be Thanksgiving weekend before I can ride again to dial in the...
