    FZ6 with Two Brothers

Exhaust looks normal on that pic.. you can swap it in easy, but most people would love to keep the exhaust. You can sell it for $$ easy if you don't.

    Time For a New Helmet

Although I'm new to streetbikes (2 years) I've toyed with helmets for car racing etc over the years... mostly all I needed was a 3/4 helmet that was SNELL approved for racing.. full faced helmets don't offer much help inside a car. What I've found through all my readings is really: $$$ does...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

In my case I do not use the rear brake at all, nor use the clutch to downshift... for me it was going from almost a dead stop to a say.. 90 degree right turn at a stop sign or entrance/exit place. Keeping in mind I did not hit the throttle hard to kick it out, it did feel like the rear tire was...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

I clicked it up to 5 and it was a little better. I settled back onto 4. It's not completely gone, but definitely better feeling than 3 was.... I might just settle upon it. Have to find another local fz6 to try though :) I'm sure most people are putting their bikes away, I still was warm...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Well, I did only click it one setting higher and only went for a few of those small turns, temp was also warmer by the time I got home. It's not a dealbreaker, only on those slow stop and turns.. if I felt this way at any other speed I probably wouldn't ride it at all!! :) maybe that really is...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Okay, so this was the trick.. just above the plastic fairing on the left side of the bike I could sneak that tool into the spot. I clicked it to 4 (I noticed my shock said it could go to 7! I thought 6 was max). I took a spin and didn't notice much difference. Will have to wait until I get a...

    Reserve Gas Limit

So I have an 05, does the gauge change to F or R? I had it blinking on my trip just as I got to work.. since it was 27 miles back home I just chanced it with no issues.. blinking all the way until I got off my exit at home.

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Tire pressures are all good now, still noticed that little feeling... I'm wondering if it's just the steering range on the fz6 is more so it feels a little out of position? For the life of me I couldn't see what setting the shock was on.. just re-read the pdf at work, when I go home tonight...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Most of the time I'm slabbing it on the highway to work. I have never been really agressive on the street, one of these days I'll go to a track day, but that would sum it up for me being the easy tourer. If it's hot outside I've tried to get into the curves hard, but that's not happening until...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

My tires are definitely new and meaty so that's not my issue... Anyways, one quick question on the spring pre-loads. So it's better for me to go from 3 (stock) to 4 for my weight most likely? It also does not mention if I have to have the bike up on the centerstand, or on the ground to adjust...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Thanks for the tips! I just heard back from the previous owner... suspension has never been changed from stock, frame has never touched the ground. Also they never experienced the loose back end before. Must be my fat ass ... :)

    Riding jeans--picture request

I have fieldsheer blue jeans. Look just like regular ones, except there are a few little orange decals, and the buttons have FS on them. Kevlar lined everywhere, of course it's only good for the abrasian, and certainly no impact qualities. Legs are not as narrow as some slimmer fit jeans...

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Yes it should be under the seat, although never opened up... I'm sure I have what I need.

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

Awesome, will do the soonest I can .... take the tire pressures down and check on the pre-load settings. Time to start reading the pdf :)

rear end feels squirrely or too light?

No, 38 front, 40 rear, sorry I wasn't too clear on that.. but I can lower the pressures a little bit. I will look into adjusting the rear preload, I emailed the previous owner to ask if it was adjusted. I certainly could be tensing up a little more on the slow turns, it is a different seating...
