    Learning experiences

Very true!!! When I first started riding street bikes a good friend of mine gave me one word of advice.. "every thing on the road is out to kill you, keep it in the back of your head at all times" It's worked for twenty years.

    Scorpions And FE Kit

I'm looking for a set of cans for my 04. Did you have to buy anything else to install them? Did it take a long time to hook them up? Any special tools or anything?

The best job in the world.

Hey Perryn, I've been hiding out in Bermuda since Mid December and am just getting round to checking this site out again, I've missed it. Riding a 100cc Honda Lead Scotter while here. I'll be back in my Native Nova Scotia intime to ride my Fz6 in the spring. p.s. hope you still have the...

    Scorpion exhust

Hi All I'm looking for info pro's / con's of buying Scorpion slip on canisters for my bike. I've heard what they sound like on u-tube and they sound nice. Do I need to buy any other parts? I have the hotter cams from an R-6 in my bike. Also which frame slidders are recommended...

How much did you $spend on your fz6? $7200

Ok, you guys are going to be sick.. I bought my 04, in mint shape with 9000kms on it for $4,000.00 CDN. They guy also threw in helmet ( not a great one) A joe Rocket ballistic jacket, joe rocket race gloves and Icon boots. I saved enough money that I was able to put the R6 cams in it. Oh.. It's...

The best job in the world.

Great side line gig ( job) I used to be a track marshall at our local race track, great fun, great seating and free. Dirt trackers are crazy but sidecar racers are insane, look foreward to seeing some pics.

got lucky tonight ... could have been Ugly

If some twit in a car makes a mistake once, I'll just give them the dirty look. They do it twice I follow them until they stop. Get off my bike and as calmly as i can explain to them that they just about ended my life, tell them they should pay more attention and then threaten to just about...

    2 up ?

I don't mind carring a passanger, always female, never a male though. My gal friend, who by the way is the best passenger i'ver ever had, she is little maybe 110lbs.So you don't even fell her on back. We did a 250km drive yesterday all along the coast, stopping every 30 or 40kms for...

    What's your "Close-Call-per-mile" ratio?

it's about par for the course, very rare ride when there are no close calls. The more urban area you live in the greater % of close calls you should expect. You have to "drive to survive" essentially expect one out of every three cars does not see you. I tend to expect a few close calls per...

    Fatal motorcycle wreck (pics)

If you live in a rual area you can get quick blips to 100mph + but never sustained speed. Id never go that fast on an interstate or high way.. to many police and to many bad automobile drivers.

    "hall Of Shame"

It gets really humid here, so 30C feels like 40C you sweat just sitting there. It feels like you have a hair drier on high blowing in your face when it is this hot. I'd rather not ride than be tempted to ride in shorts and t-shirts like the "Harley Morons" I see cruising around.

    Monoshock Preload

I tried changing it , but think i'll stick with a 5. 3-4 felt wobbley as well, I used a heavier fork oil, perhaps that might be the issue. Over all bike handles well considering it does not have an adjustable front end. I'm just being fussy. I tend to ride on the aggressive side and the roads...
