The fuel injectors make a clicking sound when they are in operation. Plus, the fuel rail is directly under the gas tank.

Go with the non-R model. I'm 6'3" 225lbs and have an 06 FZ6. Does everything great for a realistic rider. I've had race bikes and more power is great, but I would still take the FZ over any one of them.

I worked for a Yamaha dealership until dec of 08. Roughly the dealer cost on an 08 was about $6100 or so, anytime you can search around would be wise, just to save money.
