I think ive found the problem
It is carb icing . I traced the pipes that feed the hot engine coolent though the carbs and found that they are blocked . the coolent is flowing from the pump but not getting to the return that gos to the radiator
Im going to blow compressed air though...
Looks like the carbs are going to come off and cleaned
Not a job im looking forward to
Going to have to spend money on the rubbers too if i got the carbs off
Yeah it smells of fuel but not leaking
I did get a comment from another biker when i was out in the summer that he could smell...
Jets
If the rubber fix dont work then i will have to look at the jets
I had to play with jetting on an old 2stroke i had
Do you know what the standard jet size is
Going to try fix the carb rubbers while on the bike
If that dont work i have some 12v heated pads maybe i could rap them around the carbs
also found the rubbers are £75 for the set not each
all standard other than the silencer / k&n air filter and oil filter
Ive just been down to my garage after finding a page on internet about the carb rubbers .
Mine are cracked but was told that they have a metal tube inside so the cracked rubber wont make any diffrence.

But i dont use the choke to start her
Shes always started first time no mater what the weather
The choke cable is fine
I do 15 miles to work by the time i get there i can hardly keep the engine running
