Wow, what the hell :O, I will check my engine bolts then. I'm a pretty heavy guy ( i think :)) ) around 189 -198 pounds and sometimes I take my girl for a ride as passenger (she is ~ 134 pounds). Since I will service the forks , should I get harder springs also ? Thank you

    Front end issue

I wasn't able to find any trace of oil coming out from the dust caps :O, they look pretty good. I've cleaned the area and then pressed on the handle bars a couple of times and also pulled on the front brake leaver like hell but no oil came out.. I thought I will find some cracks in the...

Are you sure about that ? They look the same to me - generic picture. I've also attached a few older pictures from my phone. I will try to clean up the oil, and come back with some fresh ones. Regarding the steering bearings. A mechanic tested them by lifting the front end from the ground...

    Front end issue

Hello guys, A couple of years ago I've bought a 2008 FZ6 N with around 27.000 km / 16872 miles and now I've got around 33 k km. Pretty soon after I bought the bike I stared hearing strange sounds coming from the front end. I've asked a couple of guys from a local garage to take a look at it...

    Rectifier/regulator upgrade

Thank you, I will look into those series regulators.

    Rectifier/regulator upgrade

Thank you for that clarification, Not really sure if the r/r failed yet, but it might in the nearest future. My voltage readings were around 13.9 -14.1 V from idle to 4000 rpm. I have to mention that the battery was fully charged before fitting it to the bike, and I have the naked version of the...

    Rectifier/regulator upgrade

Just found out that FH012AA is used on FZ1. From the FZ1 service manual these are the operating parameters for the rr: Model/manufacturer FH012AA/SHINDENGEN Regulated voltage (DC): 14.2-14.8 V Rectifier capacity: 50.0 A !!! So far so good, seems perfect, but...... Withstand voltage:40.0 V...

    Rectifier/regulator upgrade

Hello guys, I read a few threads on this subject but I wasn't able to find the exact part number. I would like to replace the OEM rectifier/regulator with a MOSFET one. I read that the second one is more precise and better protects the battery and the stator. Is this true ? The original...

    Not enough charging voltage

I wanted to get a Yuasa but it wasn't available right away and I need the bike so I got an EXIDE battery. I know you can't compare the two of them but considering the low price I paid for it, if it lasts 1-2 years it's ok. Before I gave the old battery to be recycled, I asked the guy from the...

    Not enough charging voltage

I heard that you need to activate the battery after you buy it, but now it makes sense. Since I don't have a good charger I'll ask the guy at the shop to mix the "substances" and charge the battery for a couple of hours until is all good. In my country Varta, and Bosch batteries are not very...

    Not enough charging voltage

Sorry for wasting the time, I just noticed that it's the original battery, so no point in testing it and measuring it, I'm surprised it still cranks the engine. I will get a new one. So next question: can I get a 12A one? What is the minimum/ recommended cca ?

    Not enough charging voltage

After being charged it was around 12.7 . While charging, the voltage shot instantly to 14+ in less then 20 minutes, and maintained that value during the "charging process"; I have a crappy charger, maybe if I'll get a CTEK I will save the battery. I don't think it took the charge becaue I...

    Not enough charging voltage

That's a good idea, I'll search for a garage to see if they can test the battery. Indeed it is a 10 amp battery but I don't know the cca. I left my bike at wok, so yesterday when I went to get it back, before I started the bike I hooked up the multimeter, and I noticed the following: -after a...
