The fuel pumps looks completely different on the microfiche, and have different part numbers, but both are internal pumps, and it may work.
Based on the 2006 R6s Parts...
The part numbers are different. The actual number is the same.. but the model identifier is different. This basically...
Aside from the cams and thinner head gasket, the fuel injection system is also vastly different. The transmission is also geared differently. You could swap out all the parts to make it a R6 engine basically, but you'd be looking at about the same price as buying a slighty used R6S engine. The...
Glad you're ok! The first major off is a bit of a shock. The bike isn't in that bad of shape at all really from what I see in the pics. Probably could be fixed for ~$600, unless there is some other damage not pictured.
Heal well and G'luck with whatever you do.

Yeah.. Buy used, especially if you can find someone on this forum selling, everyone I've seen on here treats thier Fizzer right. It's a tough bike to begin with, can't say I've heard of anyones really just breaking down some guys here have 100k+ miles on theirs.
I'll give you my buying...
I'm in NE San Antonio.. saw a Blue FZ6 heading down I-35s at ~7:55am near Wurzbach today. My bike is on the bench atm, but once I get it together maybe we can go cruise the hill country.
