I attached my ground wire to my tank bolts and there is no tightness etc. lock to lock. Might be worth connecting it up and seeing if that works, it should run next to the speedo connector.
Here's a pic of it originally on the fairing stay.
I think eventually I'm gonna drill a hole in the...
Thanks for the replies guys, it does look like it's manufacturer specific. I'll just wait for an S2 exhaust to pop up on Ebay I think, I can't justify spending £500+ on an improved sound. Thanks for the exhaust lesson FinalImpact :).

Hi all,
I've got a question about exhausts and can't seem to find a solid answer. I know the cat or cat eliminator pipes differ from the S1 to the S2 but do the Y pipes and silencers?
I ask this because on the Arrow website the difference between the s1 and s2 kit is the cat eliminator part...
I drilled and tapped a hole to secure the other side of the bracket. There are casting marks where the holes should be so you don't even have to use guess work for the hole location. To do it properly though youll need to remove the ignition barrel.

Thanks, I'm hoping to keep it that way too. It could work but it'll be tight. I noticed there is quite a lot of space down the right side under where the air box sits. Theres a hole you can feed some cables through so you might be able to loop it back on itself through there.

Finished my naked conversion today, took it for a test ride and all seems to be ok. This has not been the as straightforward as I'd like but it's level, everything is working as it should and overall I'm so happy I've done it. The only thing I have left to do is get my bar end weights machined...
I phoned up my local Yamaha dealership today to buy a naked clutch cable and enquired about it. They told me I'd have to buy the full loom which is over £500.
Just take your time with the harness, I did a few wires at a time so I didn't lose where I was. I've just got more soldered joints on...
What frame bolts are they? I've sorted my wiring now too. I had to shorten the cables for the indicators etc as they were taking too much room up behind the headlight. If I'm honest I'm glad I've done it but I can't believe how much of an effort it's been, it's nowhere as easy as bolting on a...
That's not good! I just did mine one wire at a time. I need to shorten some of my wires again as it's taking too much room up behind the headlight. I've also noticed that the headlight is rubbing on my clutch cable a little which is unavoidable unless I buy the naked version and route it the way...
I pretty much finished mine yesterday, I just need to go back and adjust the throttle free play. Did you use the throttle cables you had or did you use some naked ones? I had no end of issues with binding but rerouting them through the right hand side and over the harness seemed to work. My...
As Motogiro said, it's the front clip on harness. It's all fairly straightforward, just make sure you reconnect all the negative wires. I finished mine today, it was a tight fit but it all fits under the tank.
