I know it doesn't help anybody in the States but I got my Fiamm horn from Canadian Tire. It was around 30 bucks. I used the same stock wires frrom the previous horn. I did have to use the bracket that came with Fiamm b/c the screw stud (on the horn itself) was too short to fit through the stock...
I still remember the first time I went over 8K rpm's. I thought I was on another bike. All I can compare it to is a 2 stroke dirt bike that hits powerband. It is now like a drug to go over 8K rpm.
I guess I should have worded it a bit better. I have iso-propanol and ethyl. We use the iso-p to clean residue off of circuit boards that are used in space satellites. I was just a bit concerned about the clear coat on the helmets getting damaged.
Guess I will stick with water and soap. Thanks...
Hi All,
I have an abundance of propanol (ethyl alcohol) and was wondering if I can use it to clean the bugs off the outside of my Scorpion exo helmet. I am a bit concerned that it will remove more than just the bugs and grime.
FZ6 for a first bike? hmmm. You should be ok if: 1) You take the bike course 2) DO NOT go over 9k rpm's. The FZ6 turns into another bike when you go over 9k. 3) DO NOT ride on highways where there is heavy traffic, stick to the country roads (if you can). 4) DO NOT ride in the rain - need I...
I went ahead and painted my blue windscreen and it looks awesome! I used flat black Krylon paint, put 5 coats on the inside and I couldn't ask for anything better. Highly recommended if you are thinking about painting your screen.
Thx for the offer, I will continue looking for the next couple of days.
I have a blue Puig screen installed and it makes the whole bike look too blue. I am seriously thinking about painting it with black Krlyon. From reading and seeing pics of this procedure(s), it seems like it turns out...
Hey All,
I have looked and found no distributors that have the dark smoke puig windscreen. All I am getting is "none in stock", anybody know of any trusted distributors in Ontario, Canada?
I had the same prob with the throttle sticking. I pushed the whole throttle in closer (the whole unit) on the handlebars. I also made sure that my grips didn't go over the throttle and sit on the end of the handlebars, which made my grips "stick" to the handlebar.
I am looking to buy a 2005 FZ6 with 19k (11806 miles) on it and was wondering what things should I look out for? I will check out the basics (engine, brakes, forks, oil leaking anywhere) but what else should I be wary of? I am planning to buy this bike in about a week. Any help would be appreciated.
