The only thing I can think of is the physical switch is busted, maybe it's simply a solder joint that's broken. Fingers crossed that's the issue.

If you want to run your pod lights as turn signals AND running lights you simply bypass the ground wire from the front turn signal wiring. IE you use the blue\green wires and the brown wire and do not use the ground wire as you would with the OEM turn signals. I've been running the bike this way...
