I appreciate the tip, though I have been using forums on the Internet long enough to have caught on to that. It still doesn't keep you from having to read 190 posts to get to what you want. And that's if the info you are seeking is actually in the thread you are looking at, and not one of the...
I'm pretty new around here, and I have found a ton of useful stuff using the search function. Having said that, sometimes the useful information I need is on page 19 of a 54 page thread. And though I have read through the entire 54 page thread, and 4 other threads about the same topic, sometimes...
I've added a +4 sprocket in the rear and had a power commander custom dynotuned. She's got plenty of go, as long as you are in the right gear.
Now, if only I could do something about that ugly 2x4 for a swingarm.
I followed the instructions for the mod from a post on that other forum listed here: R6 Fork Mod Instructions Revived - Sportbikes.net
It has step by step instructions with pictures and tells you all the parts you will need, but once you get into the job it becomes pretty self-evident what...
Put on my R6s forks and brakes today...WOW. SOOOOOO much more planted, SOOOOO much less chatter over rough road. So much less brake dive. It feels like a whole new bike.
I would very much like to praise the person on these boards who hooked me up with spacers, but I don't know if he is...
1. I would have let the 19 year old watch. It's been a long time since a 19 year old has seen my balls, and I believe that is their loss.
2. I would have been laughing so hard if I farted like that. It probably would have done damage from all of the uncontrollable shaking. Especially since...
I just picked up my '04 in early July for $3200. It had about 14k miles on it and came with a Joe Rocket Jacket, a Tourmaster Jacket, both with armor inserts, a pair of Icon leather gloves, an HJC helmet, a set of saddlebags, two tail bags and a tank bag.
Low miles is kinda relative. Does 14k...
Did the tail mod require any changes to the seat? I'm interested in doing something with my tail section, but since I got that Top Saddlery seat, my butt is feeling mighty comfy and I don't want to start chopping up a pricey seat.
Let's hear more about it.
I thought about the V-Rod headlight, but I liked the Buell Headlight and the fact that you could hide some of the wiring behind the flyscreen. Looks good man. I'm interested to hear about that tail as well, and see a better picture of it.
It's a bit of a dog below 5 to 6k RPM. It wakes up decently at that point, and really pulls nicely at around 10 to 13k rpms. As said, even in the low rpms, it's faster than the cagers by a good stretch, but if you want butt-puckering acceleration in any gear at any rpm....well, don't get an...
That's the kit I just installed on my bike. The stage 1 kit uses a +4 rear sprocket and stays with the stock 16t size on the front. I like the idea of that better because you aren't tightening the turning radius around that front sprocket. I'm sure you can have them put whatever sprocket sizes...
