    Bike Insurance

I shop around every year, and not had any major problems with any insurer. Always go fully comp with as complete cover as possible. Always get interesting quotes from comparison sites though ... (from last year, held licence 6 years, 5 years no claims)

Need Galfer / Goodridge / Hell ABS brakelines where to buy!

I fitted replacement brake lines last summer, and had a fantastic experience with HEL Performance. I lived pretty close to the headquarters in Devon at the time so just popped down there uninvited one afternoon. It was absolutely pi$$ing down with rain (typical British summer!), and the guys...

    Any legal brains on here??

By no means am I a legal buff, but this scenario is just screaming SCAM at me! The finance company would know who you bought the bike from, and seeing as they sent you a letter they know who you are and your address - why ask for all these details? If you've got the funds, I'd speak to a...

    Two-up woes

Being silky smooth is definitely the best way of increasing pillion comfort and reduce turtle f***ing (http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/28559-moto-slang-3.html#post294419) If its a new passenger you're entertaining, then I've heard good things about love handles. Motrax...

    Need Some Advice

Another thing to think about is if you get stopped whilst riding, not only is your insurance invalid but you are not riding within the terms of your licence. Now that's automatically points on it along with a whopping fine, and potentially a ban. And then your insurance premium is gonna rocket...

Book price for fz6 05 naked???

When you get a call from the insurance guy, he will try to value your bike according to the book value. Your best bet is to have a quick look on autotrader or MCN and search for bikes similar to yours. Quote the prices for these to the assessor and he will usually be quite flexible to...

    Security precautions?

When out and about I typically take a disc lock with me - small enough to fit under the seat if needed. When at home I use a heavy duty chain and padlock in conjunction with disc lock. In my mind, any deterrent is better than none, and if it actually makes it harder for my bike to be nicked then...

Getting a UK licence: Insurance difficults for an Aussie

Is there any way you can get yourself insured through an Aussie insurance company and have overseas cover included on the policy? I dunno if this'll work, just a thought... Good luck! H.

    Broke my finger...

I managed to break the middle finger on my right hand a couple of weeks ago whilst at work. Funnily enough I was darned if I was going to leave my bike there, so I untaped my fingers and rode home. :spank: All was fine until I happened across three deer having a chat in the middle of the road...

    Paint code

Hey there! I had a right ol' pain in the arse time trying to find the correct paint colour for my bike when I got a belly pan. Every single website selling coulour-matched paints couldn't find mine (its diamond black DNMD, and they all came up with midnight black SMX). In the end I had a look...

Shop Damaged my Wheel - Tire Change.

Most of the major tyre shops here in the UK display in very small writing somewhere on the premises that they are unable to accept responsibility for damaged rims / other parts when changing tyres. Often wondered whose responsibility it is then... mine for trusting them with my bike??? Good...
