I don't plan on being bikeless forever though ;) It's a temporary thing. I'll be looking for a replacement as soon as it make sense.

    Sold the Bike Today

Well, after three great years and 10,000 miles, I've sold my FZ6. Took a new job in the Chicago area and just didn't feel like screwing around with a bike at an apartment or the crazy Illinois drivers. The FZ6 was an awesome first bike and I loved every minute of riding it. Furthermore I just...

    HVMP bar ends (HEAVY!) review

Totally agree. With as buzzy as the FZ6 motor is, you want all the weight you can get to absorb the vibes. I love the bar ends I got last fall during the group buy. Pretty sure there are less vibes with these heavy bar ends than with the grip puppies on (which I've now removed) and heavily...

What is the best Windscreen for the FZ6?

I have the Puig racing. It's not much taller than the stock but it does make highway riding significantly nicer. Done 600+ miles/day once on the highway and had no complaints.

How will you spend your Tax Return?

Since I'm graduating college this spring and moving into the full-time work world, I'm anticipating this will be the last year I see one......... and it will probably go towards student loans :(

    Warranty - ever used it?

Besides my FZ6, my brother also has an FZ6 and my dad a V-Star 1300. In the last 12 years, we've had 8 different Yamaha snowmobiles as well, all purchased new, all sold or traded with at least 5000 miles on them. My current ride, 2007 Attak, has close to 7000 now after a trip to Ontario earlier...

Lev Vince oval carbon and Givi top rack

Thanks. Very handy for wheeling the bike around to work on it and back out of the way in the winter, especially when I had the swing arm off. Need to devise a center stand lock of some sort though. Inadvertantly pushed it forward when I was moving it around yesterday. Thankfully I found that...

Lev Vince oval carbon and Givi top rack

I just went through this as well- Leo Vince's with SW-Motech rack, which mounts in the rear pretty much the same way the Givi does. Following Erci's advise, I turned down the spacer to 14mm and everything fit perfectly. Aligning the Leo's was a royal pain and a half, but once I got it to where I...

    Crash caught on video

Wow. I'd say he's damn lucky, just the fact he was able to get up is pretty impressive. Stop and go traffic like that requires your full attention in ALL directions. I always give myself at least 3 or 4 bike lengths in front of me to escape and watch my mirrors like a hawk until there are at...

Just have to share my Arduino-related geek excitement

That's pretty sweet. Arduino is awesome. I've been playing with them for a year or so on and off and am using the Mega version in my senior design project. Very powerful and easy to use. If you have some basic programming skills it should be a breeze to use. If you don't, it's not very hard to...
