Hey guys/gals. In a continuing effort to clean out our shop, I found this new, Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator for a 2001-2005 FZ1.
I know this isnt the FZ1 forum, but I dont think I can post forsale adds on that page as I am not member. This looks to be a 130.00 FE kit. I would like...
Good evening!
I am in the process of parting out and selling all my dirt bike stuff. In the process of this clean out I found this head light/number plate for our Cannondale E440. The head light is set up with 2 bulbs and wired for high beam and low beam. I dont know if it will be bright...
Oh yea! I still lurk around from time to time. ;)
Doing fine these days. Not riding motorcycles much, been messing around with other hobbies and traveling a bit. Trade off I suppose. Looking to get back into it shortly though. Probably sell the Vstrom and get a FJR or something.
Look me...
Good afternoon guys/gals. Long time, no see. Hope all the vets are still around?! I was going through my storage stuff and found my stock springs from when I changed over to the ohlins springs. I do not know if anyone wants these springs or not. Custom project?
They have some crud on them...
Not sure how many members are in the area anymore, but I figured I would post this up anyway. My father and I, as well as a few friends are hosting a SaddleSore 1000 that will depart and finish just outside of Charlotte, Nc on October 5th. (1000 miles in 24 hours)
We already have the route...
Looks like you had a great ride! I love riding the BRP. I am fortunate to live about 1.5 hours from it so I often use it as a connector road to get from ridge to ridge.
Did you ride the entire BRP?
Yea, that does make the rides a bit easier. 65 is about the average here. However at one point going through PA I did get into a work zone on a highway where the speed limit was 30. Nah man... that ain't me. No one else was even close to it.
Keep in mind that your bike speedo is off by roughly 10% if not more. I never use my bike speedo anymore, rather I use the speedo on my GPS. For example, my Vstrom Speedo reads like 85 or so when Im doing 73-74 on the GPS.
"9 your fine, 10 your mine." Some riders invest alot of money in...
This is very true. Weather plays a big roll. I would almost prefer the cold days over a hot one. For me its easier to stay warm that to fight staying cool.
Haha no. Just ride what you are comfortable riding. I have been riding bikes since I was 5 and began racing hare scrambles when I was 8 or 9. My races went from 30 minutes long, to 45 minutes long in the minis. Then I jumped up to the larger class of bikes and my races went to 1.5 hours to 2...
I sold my FZ a bit over a year ago and purchased a Vstrom. I have many pictures of my FZ on an album somewhere... Ill have to dig it up. My FZ was a 2005 and I ran the Yamaha Touring screen. It was OK, but not great. As for seats, honestly, forget the prefab seats you can buy off the shelf...
