So I fitted the sprocket. Certainly has more giddy-up. Will gently lift the front wheel on full throttle in first now. Speedo is out about 2-3 mpg at 30 so not too bad. Overall happy with the change.

To be honest I am done with top speed. Looking forward to more acceleration. 48 tooth sprocket is ordered.

This week I put in new pads and chain. Wear and tear baby. It’s the little thing. Gold did chain.

One thing worth noting is that this bike is way beyond the riding skills of a brand new rider. What I mean by that is the standard shocks and forks will be fine for someone who has just learned to ride. They are fine for someone like me who has been riding for 20years and uses it for commuting...
