If you decide to take it apart, I am curious in what you find and if you can fix it. I know you can fit non-ABS part, my fear was getting stuck brakes while riding, that's why I am holding back on taking it off and opening it.

I went through a lot of reviews and finally pulled the trigger on the MRA Tour. It was the biggest one I found, it adds 15cms, more than pretty much every cheap one I found and more than the Givi touring. I will report back with results.

Just installed a pair of Ebay crash pads. They are made from aluminium, look pretty good quality and are labeled FZ6 for an extra 1hp ;)

Final update, got it from the shop, the sound is gone. They have no clue what might have caused it, did not find anything visibly off, probably slight misalignment by the guy that put it back together after the tire replacement.

Status update, it looks like the brake disc is touching on the caliper. It's in the shop now, it's possible that when I had the tires replaced, they did not install correctly the wheel spacers.
