What an awesome days ride, all 460km of it. 5 of us enjoyed the days proceedings, even Mrs Humps came along on Darryl’s bike while Darryl was on domestic duties :spank: at home.:Flip:
After our fill of Mc Cappuccino we headed to Lake Moogerah via Boonah with a quick photo shoot on the dam wall. Into the hills for a scenic twisty ride up to Queen Mary Falls with a stop on the way to take in the view and smell the cool clean mountain air. :smoking: A few creek crossings, single lane bitumen oh and mind the gravel piles, they make your legs slip off your pegs, hey Humps.

At Queen Mary Falls Mrs Humps lead the way for the 2km walking circuit down to the bottom of the falls with the boys tagging along behind. We stood at the bottom and watched as the little kids and big kids tried to negotiate the slippery rocks to stand under the water fall.
The Killarney pub was our long awaited lunch stop and Warwick for fuel. You could easily stretch you FZ6’s legs on that stretch of road.
The surprise stretch was from Spring Creek across to Gatton. The road zig zagged across Ma Ma Creek with the rhythm interrupted by a truck hogging the road.

Crossed a creek called no name creek? Have to do that section in reverse on a future ride.
At Gatton the group parted. The southerners headed back to Ipswich while Kristna and I cut across to Lowood. Another great section of road to stretch you FZ6’s legs. We poked along fairly well and did a left turn at Fernvale to tackle Split Yard Creek Road and over Mt Glorious and Mt Nebo. Once we got past the few Sunday drivers it was a great way to end the day.
Thanks for the great day boys and Mrs Humps.
