Awesome Maverick. My buddy had the Kenny Roberts edition....what an awesome bike. That thing would sink you eyeballs back in their sockets!

Well not having the luck to grow up around bikes I had to wait until I dated a fellow who had a moto shop, he taught me to ride on a little 150 cc scooter something and then I graduated to a Ninja 250, week later I was up in the twisties and totally bit by the bug. He had an old GPz that I took in and had rebuilt, only problem was that the bodywork was completely trashed and needed a new paintjob. Took it in to a fella who painted motocross helmets, he had never painted a bike before and I told him what I thought would look cool and let him go from there. As you can see I liked the P-40 Mustang :)
I miss that little bike, smoked like a demon but was a blast for years.

My first bike.... a honda z50 back when I was about 3. It had a sweet set of training wheels.... My first street bike was a 1982 V45 Magna. Comfy bike and a good fit for a 16 year old kid. Of course I bought my Gixxer not long after, big mistake.

My first bike was a used 1959? Triumph Tiger Cub T20. I rode it around our housing estate in Hooley, Surrey, England in 1st gear all day until I got the courage to upshift and then hit the 'open road'.
I blew up the engine on the M1 while riding it from Hooley to Harrogate in Yorkshire...the little 200cc engine just couldn't take the blistering flat-out pace that I set it at 70 mph.
Photo taken on my first day with my Tiger Cub in 1963 when I was sweet sixteen. :D

I had a cub, briefly. Me & a mate bought it in a box for a tenner. Put it together had loads of bits left over but it ran. Sold it to another mug for 50 quid.

My first bike was a 1987 Honda Shadow 1100 4 speed...it was long, heavy, and impracticle in every way...but it ran like a top and looked good. I'll post pictures from my home PC.
