This was the first time I ever took out my cbr600, about four years ago. I loved this bike so much. It went through many fazes, about a year after this pic I fixed up all the plastic and painted it satin black, new windscreen, HID, mirrors and taillight. A year after that I sold all the street parts and it is now a track bike! She is very happy in the garage next to my FZ (even though shes having some problems at the moment :()

My first "streetbike". LOL! The Yamaha QT50. (not the actual one I owned but identical to it) Legally considered a motorcycle in Ohio because of the kick start.

That's awesome! I learned on dirt bikes when I was 12 on my grandpa's farm in North Dakota. My first street bike was a 82 Honda nighthawk. I really miss that bike. I bought that bike for $500 in 1990 and had it for 11 years! I put over 60,000 miles on that bike!

Wish I had a picture of me next to the bike.. I had quite the afro when I was 13 :rof:

The bike itself is pretty special though.. 5 furious horses channeled to rear wheel via 2-speed trans!

My first bike was a 1966 Bridgestone 250. I think the model was the Catalina.
It was a 2 stroke. For those of you that don't know, look up 2 stroke. It uses a mixture of 2 stroke oil and gas for the fuel.
Here's a picture close to what it looked like. Yes it's the same company that makes tires today. The engine was an air cooled parallel twin. Road that bike everywhere and it never failed!
Oh yeah! It was blue..Looked something like this. And sounded like this: Ring! ding ding dinga ding ding......ding ding dinga ding ding ding....

Great idea for a post! And lots of fun looking at everyone's first bike ... they say you always remember your first ....

I dont have any pictures of me with it for some reason ... but I rode the wheels of it almost every day for a year before I wanted something faster.

OK - going way back before I had a license of any kind - uhm think 9 years old'ish I rode a Blue version of this on the trails and the street.

The bike did become mine after it was stolen from our garage by some punk. When we got it back, the head and tail lights were gone, the muffler cut off, the front and rear fenders mangled.

A 1969 Honda SL90. . . . This is not it, but it was the blue version. I think that was in 72/73 or so when I became the owner.
