Donner's pass CA? I crossed that on the 1st with a fully loaded truck and trailer (tacoma/u-haul)....had to use 3rd gear in a couple places going up.

That's where I did my 3-day "survival training" when I joined the AF. Beautiful place, despite this sad video... :(

I think that this must have been a brake failure.

Watch the white SUV pass at the start of the video. And then watch the truck pass. The truck is moving faster, and by the time he rolls over in the turn, he's closed the gap between him and the SUV and is perhaps fifteen feet from the back of the SUV.

I think it's got to be a case of brake failure. No semi driver would be dumb enough to go that fast, on that road, on purpose.

I hope the driver was OK. That crash did not look good.
