Hello community!

My name is Greg and I come from Berlin, Germany.

I bought a Scorpion Oval recently and now I need some help.

1.
I tried to remove the DB-killer, but I did not get them out.
The exhaust smells a little like silicone.
Can it be that the DB-killer were stuck with it?
I hope the silicone dissolves when the exhaust has become really hot.
And if I am looking into the exhaust from the side where the connecting pipe is mounted, the DB-killer is wrong in the exhaust.
Is that so?

2.
I read that an escape from the exhaust gases more than from the other.
This is indeed on the connecting pipe.
Has anyone cut off a little, as I have it marked in the picture?

I hope you can help me because almost nobody in Germany has a Scorpion.

Nice greetings from Germany!

The dbkillers are not straight - they are curved. When you get them out you will see this. Grab the end of the inner part of the dbkillers with a pair of pliers and pull hard. You may well need to have them mounted on the bike in order to hold the silencer well enough.

There is a blob of silicone sealant on the end of the dbkiller where it touches the inside of the silencer, none on the outer end. I guess it's there to stop the dbkiller rattling where it touches the inside. It will not burn off; it melts at something like 400 degrees. If you get the dbkillers out you can just peel off the silicone sealant.

It probably makes no difference it you open up that hole or not. I think it's done that way to get equal flow on both silencers as the other silencer is round another bend.

Thank you for the information!

I will try it again with the DB-killers.

Scorpion has reworked on the connecting pipe or how do you ensure that there is an equal flow on both silencers?
I saw on a few videos that the left pipe has more pressure.

Yes I know it does not really matter.

Nevertheless, I would try to optimize the pipe.

I'm gonna remove half of the material.

That's why I was asking, if someone has done it before.

So today I mounted the Scorpion.
I didn't "optimize" the connecting pipe, maybe I do it next winter.
Right now I'm just happy that the exhaust is now installed.
What a great looking and sounding exhaust.
It's just awesome!

I am still waiting for my new license plate holder, so the bike isn't assembled yet again,

Sorry for double post!

I read this before mounting. So what I did was get a broom handle and whack the baffle from the other end. Each one came out easily. Then you cut off the sealant for future removal.
