Hi everyone, I am from Taiwan, I bought a FZ6 which is in bad condition, but I love repairs!
I'm having a little problem right now, he's not showing up on my other motorcycle.(cbr600rr)
If the speed is drastically increased while traveling, he will sometimes lose power and regain it instantly. I judged that the gear was jumping, but I adjusted the chain and it was still tight. Is it possible that there is something wrong with the transmission shaft?
In addition, when my instrument is just started, the engine speed on the instrument will flash continuously until the car is warmed up. Does this mean the instrument is faulty?
I have never owned this motorcycle and I don't know its normal mode.
I want to ask for the owner's manual, And you need to buy parts for modification.
I need a dashboard that is in good condition. I have looked for modified gauges. An owner has modified and installed a KOSO dashboard.
Also, I need the original exhaust pipe decorative cover. The FZ6's body frame and rear shock absorbers are not symmetrical. I want to use ZUMA 125’s asymmetrical headlight and single side exhaust pipe. I will help him install a single swing arm in the future.

Hello. the rps on the dash flash up just the first stripe. when the engine is cold. when is warm up in operating temprature the flashing of the first stripe on the engine speed will stop . so its not a problem. dont worry now.
when you lose speed does the engine cut of or just u accelarate the engine like you are in neutral ?

I'm not understanding most of what's posted however, any gear jumping, etc, I can address.

Pull the left side sprocket cover off and check to see that the ft sprocket has teeth AND has a large nut fully secured..

PM with your e-mail address and the year of manufacture and I can send you the owners manual
and shop manual...

You should have 2" TOTAL of up and down play in the chain, at the center run (info is in the owners manual).

As if entering neutral, the time was very short, I cleaned the fuel injector and made sure to use clean gasoline. The current mileage is 93111Km.
Mr. Gary told me that the clutch may be slipping and I will deal with it soon.

Interestingly, when I bought it at a low price, its shaft and gear were welded together. I disassembled the lower half of the engine, took out the shaft, and repaired it with a lathe and welding.

I bought new nuts and machined the new threads to make them fit perfectly. It now has no gaps and is very smooth!

The problem is not transmission but either a worn front sprocket or a worn clutch. Have you checked the free play at the clutch lever? It should only be a few mm.
Thank you very much. I think I forgot that its mileage has reached 90,000 kilometers. The clutch clearance is indeed very short. Just a little movement is enough to cut off the power. I will be working on gears, chains, tires and clutches soon!

That output shaft is splined. Are the spline on the sprocket and output shaft in good shape? It looks like it is time for a front sprocket and the chain also looks like it has been neglected. If the spline on the shaft are gone you can not rely one just the nut to transfer rotation to the spocket.

Here's a picture of it working, the nut and threads are perfect, I think the problem is with the clutch because it doesn't happen when I accelerate steadily. ^V^
