The tires that failed were manuafactured in one factory, I believe in Europe(forgot which one), years ago.
Even if you came across one at this point, the manufacture date would be beyond what most guys would mount on thier bikes
My local shop (private owned, work on about anything), sells a zillion of the 3's (and other tires)with no issues/come backs what so ever. When ever I'm in their shop and their doing a tire change, I damn near always see a tire with the friggin cords sticking out, right down the middle, unreal (usually a go fast bike too)...
