Took delivery at mid-day today and it's. Just. Mental!!!!!!!!!! Everything I imagined and more. The power, the lightness, the hurting wrists!

I wheelied (inadvertantly) today for the first time in 1st and 2nd.

Under 60 it's hard on the wrists and hands but light enough to manouver around but above 60 the wind picks you up and it's nice and comfy and you feel like you're at one with it. I've only done 50 miles (wife's now gone to see her new horse and left me babysitting) but I'm still beaming from ear to ear

Damn! What a sweet ride Matt! Congrats!

If you find the wrist issue is too much, you can get a handlebar conversion kit from Spielger for about $500 USD. Superbike Kits / Handle Bar Riser Kit. Wild Hair Accessories. Motorcycle Accessories & Aftermarket European Parts.

"07 with the kit installed.

That is one beautiful bike, CONGRATS!!!!!! I am pretty sure an R1 will be my next bike.

That is one sweet ride you got there!!!.......The R1 is ridiculously FAST!! I remember the first time I rode one......that was when I finaly understood why they call them crotch ROCKETS!! LOL

Not knocking down on the R1 or even the FZ1, but I don't find the bike very attractive when you have fill up your tank every 100 miles. Plus who knows how much the insurance wil be.

Youl'll run out fuel before you have a chance do ditch the cops.

As far as the speed and looks of the bike, beautiful.

Did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed today??? ;)

100 miles? Kenny, where'd that come from?

FZ1 = 160 miles to a tank (unless you spend it all in the 8k+ range!)

okay, fz-1 150-160 miles, but that has a little bigger tank the the R1, but still smaller tank than the FZ6.

One thing that I dislike about most motorcycles, is the very low range that they have on a tank of fuel. That was one of the attractive feature of the FZ6, that I could get at least 200 miles out of each tank. Not that great, but I'll take it. I hate refueling.

The R1 is overrated, I will take it off your hands for 100 bucks.

Haha seriously, what a great bike! Those are so slick looking and the performance is crazy, congrats!
