Stole this idea from a loval bike forum. :spank:
Do you have motorcycle with more horsepower than your first car?
So, my answer's no....
My first car, a 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 389 4-barrel carb producing 325 hp with a stick shift auto. Bought when I was in high school from a friend of my dad's in 1970 for $1000 with 5,000 miles on it. Sold it after 6 months because I couldn't afford the gas at .33 cents a gallon on a part time salary of $1.65 hr. I kick myself for ever selling that car.
Although my second car was the first Honda auto made, at Honda N600 sedan with a 2 cylinder, 36 hp, 600cc four stroke engine with a non-syncromesh 4 speed trans. Weighed about 1300 pounds and was smaller than a mini cooper. Drove the crap out of that thing until I blew the head on it on the hills of S.F.
You old hoons might remember the good 'ol days when cars had less hp than today's modern bikes.
