The FZ6 ought to make a good move up from the Ninja 250. It's plenty of bike. If you like the more upright position like the Ninja look no futher.

Even better than just looking through the internet for the right bike is to go test ride one. Then again, i am sure you will be back here afterwards, lol. The FZ6 is very addicting
