OK
Your coil primary voltage should show 12 volt positive polarity. Make sure your multimeter is set to read direct current and in the proper range to read 12 volts. One lead of your multimeter goes to the primary coil wire which is red with a black tracer marking and the other wire to any negative polarity source. An example of negative polarity source would be the negative post on the battery or good electrical contact on the motor/frame.I checked wires COIL voltage and it shows 0.0.
When you check for voltage at the coils, set your meter to dc volts, put the positive probe on the Red/Black wire, but put the negative probe from your meter to a chassis ground. If you are putting the negative probe on the grey/black (cylinders 2 and 3) or orange/black (cylinders 1 and 4) and the ECU has a problem, you might not get a voltage reading on the meter, even if the red/black has 12 volts.OK Thank you
