Bugs!!

The last time I rode with Goop past Lake Henshaw area near Palomar Mountain there were millions of flying grasshoppers. We slowed way down. What a mess. We stopped in Ranchita and cleaned up a little before we continued out ride. There are roads (Rt.76) near the lake that make it very dangerous to ride whether a car or a bike. The road way gets covered in slimy carcasses and if you make a sudden change of throttle/braking or steering you can get it trouble. We live in an arid climate and the lake provides water for many creatures and when it's mating season these flying grasshoppers are terrible! :eek:
