are fork sliders really useless?

so i just put on motovation axle sliders. i was going to order the fork sliders but can the forks actually touch the ground? i've had 3 lowsides on my belt and only the axle nut touched. the forks can't cuz fairing is in the way plus i will put engine guards on soon.

yeah the axle sliders look really good. expensive for what they are though. i thought about using skate wheel but it'd look ridiculous lol

They're more for cosmetic protection. If you crash bad enough where the forks get screwed up, sliders aren't going to help. Same thing with frame sliders.
