Any Runners out there?

Hey I was wondering if there was anyone planning on running in that 10K Nike Human Race on August 31st? I know they are running in Austin and New York so I was thinking about signing up and heading down there. Anybody else?

I run a bit, my 10k days are behind me, three knee surgeries. Sounds like a fun run to do. I heard an ad for it on KLBJ or KROX yesterday.

The company I work for, Applied Materials, actually created that race about 12 years ago or so. For some reason it was held in February and attendence was spotty. I froze my butt off more than once in that race! Then the tech bubble burst in 2001 and a few years later we dropped being primary sponsor for it. We focus on other community activities now, education, the arts and civic support.
