Extra spring in left fork
Quick question, doing my fork seals and tore both sides apart to clean. While doing so, came across the fact that there is an extra little spring on the bottom out rod in the left fork but not the right. Is this suppose to be this way or did someone forget to put all...
Hey all, bought a lowering link for bike, brought to a friend of mine and we got the shock off now trying to get this part off.....
Compressed the spring and was turning the eye but the shaft is turning with it. Tried grabbing the shaft with some vise grips but no go. Any suggestions?
Hey folks, for those of you who switched out their fork springs, did anyone get a .95kg weight? and how does it feel?
I'm 100 kg, 6ft2. The reason I ask the question is the Dublin suspension specialists suggested I go for a .90kg spring to compensate for Irish and UK roads compared to the...
Apologies if this has been asked 1000 times, but I'm after a bit of help.
I bought a FZS600 over the weekend from someone who was about 5 foot 8 and maybe 11 stone. I'm 6 foot 1 and 13 stone. He had the bike setup with 2 notches showing above the nut on the front:
And I'm not sure of the...
I was trying to clean and lubricate the rear brake caliper. There is a small metal section within the brake caliper. Here is a picture.
It popped out and I'm not sure which way it goes back in. Most notably there are two small tabs that poke outwards. In the above image they are both on...
So I stupidly thought this would be a straightforward swap. Silly me.
I just discovered that the recommended springs from RT are 0.25" shorter than the OEM spring, so I need some kind of collar/bushing/spacer/whatever to make up a half inch of space. Has anyone done this recently that has a...
Well, it's snowing here in Chicagoland. I guess our season is officially over. Unless you have heated gear. I'm going to wrap my baby up in the garage and wait until next spring.
And you peeps who live year round in warm climates don't have to rub it in!! Blah We have "seasons" BlahBlah
Come spring, I might be selling my FZ6. It's a 2008 w/24k on the clock. It has been down twice, though it looks very good. I know it's time for valve service, and I know it's beyond my skill set to do it. I have a shop I trust, and they said they'd do it in the off season for ~$350. They...
Bit of an odd one, was riding home tonight and thought my gear pedal had fallen off when I was stopped. Turns out the spring has broken off and my pedal as just stuck in the up position.
Need to figure out where to source a spring from now :S
Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knew what came with a spring kit commonly found on ebay. I put a link below of an example but I am not sure it works.
Race Tech Fork Springs 1 0 KG mm FRSPS3732100 | eBay
Doing a quick search on ebay, it looks like the race tech spring sets come...
Hey everyone,
Got my bike shipped down to me the other day, and the bike fell over on the guy, and broke my right foot peg.
Everything else appears to be fine, so looking for a replacement right peg assembly if anyone has one. Spring/ pins/ peg and all.
Let me know what you got!
Bike...
Thanks to the work done by Hellgate, FinalImpact and DHoback, we know that it's possible to fit an R1 shock onto the FZ6. However, I'm still confused on exactly what I'd need. This is what I believe I need along with some questions:
- 01-04 R1 shock
- Aftermarket R1 shock preload adjuster...
Feeling the Spring itch to get out and ride
No definite planes yet just a place to be around 350+ miles away

Anyone ride at Hallett? It is in Jenks, Oklahoma. My hubby and I are planning on trying out track riding this spring. We are starting out at Hallett in March. Just thought it would be great to meet some other FZ riders.
Hello. Yesterday I braked into pieces my fazer's cct and fix it today.
I were fixed a 2010 kawasaki zx6r cct a while ago, it's a simple rod (with stoper) and a spring. Because of sping aging, cct wasn't extending enough and it was weak. So I made a spacer for it. Spring got some preload with...
So, to start on Monday just setting off from work and shifting up through 2nd then into 3rd the clutch cable snapped right a the lever - which was a learning experience to try and deal with and an horriffic sound from stalling the bike in that gear as I came to a safe stop.
Had a new one...
All,
I'm looking for someone who has a rear S2 spring - the stock one so I can get my bike moved. Local 48 states only.
I don't need it so desperately as to pay an arm an leg, so $25 shipped is my limit of course I'll gladly pay less. Or throw in the whole shock if you like so I don't have...
As the title says, how did the bike ride before and after the mod, what did you do exactly, what did it really fix for you?
Tell us your story about how the bike feels in the corners, braking, riding, etc . . .
Thanks!
